The Metric Solstice System realigns human timekeeping with base-10 mathematics while preserving the astronomical reality of the solar year.
Decimal Time (Day)
The day is a fixed constant. We divide it by 10, then 100, then 100. No more arbitrary 12s and 60s.
Dodecimal Year (Calendar)
The orbit is geometric. 12 months map perfectly to 4 seasons and 360 degrees. We keep the 12-month calendar for seasonal utility.

04. Bio-Tempo Alignment
The redefinition of the "second" is not just mathematical; it is biological.
Standard Second (1.0s)
60 BPM
Slightly slower than active resting heart rate. Feels like a "drag".
Metric Second (0.864s)
~69 BPM
Syncs naturally with the human pulse and upbeat music tempos.
05. Year Count (HE)
We use the Human Era (Holocene Calendar) system by Cesare Emiliani. It adds exactly 10,000 years to the current Common Era (CE/AD) year.
- Epoch: 10,000 BCE (Approximate start of the Neolithic Revolution).
- Advantage: Eliminates negative years for B.C. history.
- Example: 2025 becomes 12025 HE.
06. Cosmic Alignment
The Metric Calendar is physically anchored to the Winter Solstice (Northern Hemisphere).

Solstice Anchor (Month 0)
The year begins exactly when the sun enters Capricorn. This ensures Month 0 is always deep winter (North) or summer (South).

Solar Placement
The 12 Metric Months correspond to the 12 zodiacal sectors (30° each) of Earth's orbit. Equinoxes and Solstices always fall on fixed dates (e.g., Vernal Equinox is always Month 3, Day 1).
07. Intercalary Architecture
Earth's orbit is not a perfect 360 days; it is ~365.24 days. To reconcile decimal geometry with organic reality, we use Intercalary Days.

The Gap:
12 months × 30 days = 360 days. The solar year has 5 or 6 extra days.

The Fix:
These extra days are added to the end of the year (Month 11) as "Festival Days." They act as a temporal buffer.

Standard:
Month 11 has 32 days. Day 32 is the Year End Festival.

Month 11 has 33 days. Day 33 is the Leap Festival.
